1. Choose a position in your stove where you will be able to slide the coil into place so you don't obstruct the use of your stove and can obtain the most heat (see picture for suggested locations) mark hole locations 6"on center.
2. Use 1 1/8" hole saw (Morse brand Model TA18, or similar bi-metal hole saw with built in arbor will cut steel or cast) to make installation holes.Make sure the location will enable you to slide coilthrough holes from inside the firebox. Drill holes slightly larger if coil needs to be angled into position in the stove firebox.
3. With 2 set nuts threaded to the base of the threads on coil slide into place inside the firebox through holes then add gaskets, washers and jam nuts on outside of stove, tighten in place. Coils are threaded long to accommodate thicker or double wall stoves. Note: Retighten nuts periodically.
4. Plumb coil into your existing hot water system.
There are many resources for types of installation, a good resource for installation information is the book “hot water from your wood stove” and can be purchased at www.Lehmans.com
WARNING: Improper installation or maintenance can cause a risk of explosion, injury or property damage. Please consult a licensed plumber for proper installation.
